Why FUSE?

Success in the arts requires a unique combination of creativity and basic business skills.

FUSE is an independent arts initiative conceived and launched in Christchurch. It is still the only service of its kind to be offered in New Zealand. Sarah Amazinnia and Kate Spencer, the creators of FUSE have 30 years combined research and experience working in the arts industry both locally and abroad. Both run their own art businesses and have initiated numerous arts projects. As each offer their divergent perspectives, these fuse to provide a comprehensive, realistic and frank approach to the intricacies of the business of being an artist.

The FUSE course is available to artists through Work and Income NZ, and in association with CPIT (Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology).
