I write in many genre, my favourites are science fiction/fantasy and children's short stories but travel articles non-fiction regarding health and safety in the home and workplace, historical articles, ecothemes and short stories with attempts at humour and letters to the editor are some of the other areas I enjoy.
I will help anyone with their enquiries regarding writing from marketing to how to enter a competition, and I have a stock of "How To's" from running a critique group to writing a letter to an Editor and other helpful hints from various sources. I have a substantial database on markets and publishers on most genre both here and overseas (mainly USA but Uk and OZ feature). I can recommend some books that are invaluable to writers, from style to beginning writing.
Here are some topics to start your writing juices off that will stop you from getting writer's block. Mother/blind date/visit to hairdressers/family bereavement/home seekers/My first car/winning Lotto/meeting your son or daughter for the first time/New clothes/someone who terrified you when you were young/my operation/end of a relationship/an incident that changed your life/an article of clothing or possession of particular emotional attachment.
